Into the Pixel: An Exhibition of the Art of the Videogame

GamerNode’s first day in the clear-skied city of Los Angeles for the 2008 E3 Media & Business Summit was rather uneventful, but Dave, Brendon, and I did manage to get ourselves registered for the event and attend the General E3 Reception and Into The Pixel Art Exhibition at the LA Convention Center.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the Entertainment Software Association, and the Prints & Drawings Council of LACMA hosted the event, and we were more than happy to eat all their food and take a few pictures for your viewing pleasure. Have a look:

I hope you enjoyed the artwork, even if you’re unfamiliar with the games they come from. As Louis Marchesano (a member of this year’s Into The Pixel jury) said at the reception, "I don’t know who any of these people are anyway," so don’t feel so bad if you don’t, either.
