Liara, Mars featured in new Mass Effect 3 video

Get a look at Liara and Mars in the new Mass Effect 3 video.

Mass Effect 3 is fast approaching, and new footage of the game showcasing gameplay on Mars and the reintroduction of Liara has emerged to remind players just how close the game’s release is.

While discussing the game in the video, Mass Effect 3 lead writer Mac Walters described BioWare’s approach towards the highly-anticipated RPG as “go big or go home.” Since this is the final installment in the trilogy, and the end to Commander Shepard’s story, Walters stated that the game will have “the biggest decisions, the biggest consequences, and the biggest battles.”

The video comes as a preview for tonight’s episode of “GameTrailers TV” and shows Shepard and crew investigating Mars in the hopes of uncovering Prothean secrets that can help defeat the Reapers. While exploring the planet, Shepard finds that Liara is also on the planet searching for the same thing, leading to the duo’s ME3 reunion.

Mass Effect 3 is set to release on March 6 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Can’t wait to see what happens with Liara. I developed a relationship with her in the ME1, and maintained loyalty to her through ME2. Don’t know if it will matter in 3 or not but really looking forward to finding out.
