Motorstorm: Apocalypse gets massive update

Motorstorm: Apocalypse

One of this year’s biggest PlayStation 3 exclusives just got bigger. Motorstorm: Apocalypse has received a substantial update that adds a mode editor, PS Move controls, PS3 steering wheel support, custom vehicle sharing, and tweaked multiplayer.

The new mode editor allows players to make custom events to be used offline or online with a multitude of different options.

"The possibilities are vast: Tweak the standard Race mode so that vehicle attacks are disabled…or set up a five-round Eliminator mode, on mirrored tracks, for 15 Monster Trucks and 1 Buggy, with moon gravity, infinite boost and no brakes…or do something completely unexpected," Sony explained.

Also included are the addition of PlayStation Move controls as well as support for various PS3 steering wheels including the Logitech G25, Logitech G27, Logitech Driving Force GT, and Logitech Driving Force Pro.

Online multiplayer has also been enhanced. Players now have the ability to take their customized vehicles and share their design online, as well as download other players’ designs to use on their own vehicles.  The online multiplayer has also received small changes to better the overall experience.

"In response to continued feedback from MotorStorm players, the update also includes additions and improvements such as: new racer ‘clan tags’, changes to gambling (bets are now won when a rival is disconnected or disqualified), and changes to lobby privacy (so that private rooms can only be joined by invitation)," said Sony.

PS3 users, do you want the new update to Motorstorm: Apocalypse? Then log in to PSN now!
