Bubble Bobble Evolution Coming to PSP

Bub and Bob make their first appearance on Sony,s PSP in Rising Star,s popular franchise "Bubble Bobble" games.

The new title is called, "Bubble Bobble: Evolution" and is tentatively scheduled for release in February 2006. The fanciful game has the classic elements of the series, such as capturing the baddies within bubbles, plus lots of fights and lots of action. This new offering for the PSP, however, has some added new features: puzzles, multiple screen action and the ability for the gamer to "travel" between these different game screens.

Producer Tony Byus said, "This isn't Bubble Bobble as fans of the series are used to. This is an entirely new game, and with these puzzle elements included, it is literally an evolution of the original game design concept." Chairman, Owe Bergsten, of Rising Star said, "We're overjoyed to be bringing unique updates to the Bubble Bobble series in particular. There's been a great demand to have these titles brought into the modern era, for which the new handhelds from Nintendo and Sony are ideal platforms."
