Tecmo and Tomonobu Itagaki have confirmed that an in-development Nintendo DS title will in fact be an entry into the critically acclaimed Ninja Gaiden franchise. Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword will be a predominantly stylus-controlled 3D action/adventure, but details beyond this tidbit are non-existent.
The announcement arrives via the latest issue of the Japanese publication Famitsu Weekly, where the only other related news is that a Japanese Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo will hit the PlayStation Network on April 27. An American version of the demo was not dated.
