This week Nintendo announced that they will be issuing another strap upgrade to the Wiimote controllers.
This time around, they are adding a security clip that locks the strap loop from unloosening. The first upgrade was a thicker strap that, theoretically, would prevent "snapage" of the strap and thus the breaking of all things valuable in the flying controller's path such as televisions and stereo equipment.
But just how far is this going to go to make the WiiMote 100% secure? Well, according to a secret photo file that GamerNode was able to obtain from an insider source, the next iteration of the security strap will look like this:

LOL...I want two of those for the Wii in the bedroom....:)
SERIOUSLY if you NEED ...a goddamn wrist strap while playing on your Wii...you are a freaking RETARD....
but that's just my modest opinion... ;P
Lol! I want that as a bad-ass accessory!
The only reasons I have those straps now are that it helps me tell which controller is player one (strap reissue) and which one is player two (stock strap), and so I can dangle the thing to wipe the sweat from my hands. That's right, I have the sweaty gamer hands.
Pics or it didn't happen Daivd =P
Hmmmmmm I plead the 5th ;)
I really don't see what the whole thing with Wii controllers and the wrist strap snapping thing is. No-one I know has ever snapped the wrist strap on their WiiMotes. Is this just something that happens outside Britain or is it just that there are a lot of fools out there who get a little bit too into their game?
Classic.
There's only been one person who has ever thrown one of my remotes. She was being a retard by not paying enough attention to what she was doing...
My friends and I whip those things around like they're freaking maces when playing Wii Sports, and they're holding up fine! Makes you wonder how strong these strap-breaking kids are...
