JCN Network reports that Kaz Hirai, President of Sony Computer Entertainment, is sticking with the company goal of selling 11 million PlayStation 3 game consoles by March of next year.
The original target for sold units for the PS3 was 18 million previously, but was dropped to 11 million in January 2007 when expected sales for the machine took a huge nose-dive.
Present statistics for PS3 sales are estimated at about 4.5 to 5 million units worldwide.
With only 6 months to go and PS3 sales consistently lagging behind the Xbox 360, Wii and even its own PS2, it will take a miracle, lots of new games and possibly another price drop to reach the magic number.
Can Sony do it?

I for one, doubt it.
I agree with greg. Very unlikely.
