According to recent statements made by Enterbrain president Hirokazu Hamamura, the big splash made by the Nintendo Wii is quieting to just a few light ripples. He cited research that the system hasn't had a huge hit since the pack-in title Wii Sports, and roughly two-thirds of Wii owners are not using the system at all, for the time being.
So does this mean that the Big N's cash cow is indeed a passing craze, as its opponents have always been quick to claim? Does it mean that once the novelty of the device is exhausted, it will go the way of the Gamecube (if that's even possible at this point)?
Really, only time can tell, but 67% of owners NOT making use of the darn thing is pretty significant - at least to me.
So what do you, the GN faithful, think the future holds for Nintendo's little white box?

I know I would love to be able to get one for my 6 yeard old son, but for me, myself......I could pass on it.
nearly all the people i know who had one, sold it.
I think it's nonsense to claim the "developers are still adapting to the PS3"-line is valid and then claim the Wii is dead in the water.
Developers just aren't used to being innovative, they're used to each new generation just bringing in a whallop of new technology they can utilize. The Wii is too innovative for the gaming industry as it is, but developers will produce some good games for it inevitably.
I haven't got one.
I've had a wii since launch. I've only played it about 15 hours since I've had it. I play my PS3 literally everyday. I'm still waiting for a AAA wii game to come out as are a lot of other people.
I agree with Brother None; Besides, dare I say Galaxy, just to name one of the incredible upcoming games? I just think the doubters need to STFU, not to sound rude but seriously.
Uh...I havn't been playing recently actually, ever since TF2 Beta and then the Orange Box. After Metroid Prime 3 I kinda have lost interest tbh. I did a few rounds of bowling the other day though...
on and off play is the best way to put it really depends on the kinda mood your in to play it and when more people are around im more inclined to play it
