Although the Wii is undoubtedly the most sought after game console so far, rumblings from the game community have accused the Wii as being a two or three hit wonder, as far as killer apps are concerned.
Sooner or later, when people get tired of Wii Sports, Zelda and Metroid, what else is there to really play, they argue.
Well the answer may have shown up as Capcom has confirmed that Okami will be heading to the Wii sometime in spring 2008.
Okami originally drew high praise and very favorable review scores for its unique gameplay, intriguing graphics and novel approach to an adventure game.
Unfortunately, it was a huge failure when it came to sales -- whether or not the Wii version rectifies this is up for debate. Will the Wii's controller scheme help or hinder the enjoyment of the game and make it a financial success the second time around? Will the millions of Wii gamers still clamoring for a "game game" take this chance to try Okami? We'll see.
Either way, it will be hard for poor Amaterasu to do worse.

Hmm. The only use I see for the Wii's controls in the entire game is the Celestial Brush, and nothing else. Here we go, using the Wiimote once again as nothing more than a glorified magic wand to wave around.
*orgasms*
im sure that capcom will be able to make this port sucessful on the wii and not create gimicky gameplay
I disagree, rtanger, the controls could be much like Zelda TP which had great controls. By the way, this will be AWESOME. I don't care that there'll be no improvements to the graphics or otherwise extra stuff, I'll be just fine with 16:9 and 480p as there still is no problem with the original game's graphics (FROM WHAT I CAN SEE I suppose, since I haven't played the game before or well, I have at a booth in a game store and I've seen movies of gameplay and such), they're beatiful already, and I've heard the game is freaking HUGE, like, HUGE. I'm sure this will give Okami the success it really seems to have deserved from the start, and I'll get it as soon as possible when it's released =)
