The latest attempt by Free Radical at breaking new ground in the first person shooter genre comes in the form of Haze.
The game is an exclusive PS3 shooter that features futuristic soldiers relying on a substance known as Nectar too boost their abilities and putting them to good use by making quick work of rifle wielding combatants that oppose them. Not only that, but four players can co-operatively complete the game together via PSN.
While Haze is certainly keeping many adopters of Sony’s platform in baited breath to determine whether or not it’s a satisfactory shooter worth playing, UbiSoft revealed today that previous reports claiming that the title would be pushed back to 2008 were incorrect.
The title will be released in both Europe (December 14th) and the United States (at some point next month) before the year’s end.
We’ll keep our readers updated in regards to when the game will see its release in the U.S., so check here for the latest.

Ah yes, another FPS to feed my undying thirst to PWN :P
Looking forward to this game merely for the fact that it has lots of little quirks....like lacing your knife with Nectar and stabbing the enemy to make them go nuts :P
Pwning is so overrated! lol, just kidding.
I did not like any of the Time Splitters games. They were all very bland and had no personality. The extreme spikes in difficulty did not help either. This is a chance for Free Radical to redeem themselves. After all, are these not the ex-Rare employees who worked on the much praised Golden Eye 64?
Timesplitters wasw awesome especially 2. This game looks pretty cool as well.
