After dropping the price by $100 and making the console affordable, Sony is finally reaping in the sales they wanted. Sony sold over 100,000 Playstation 3 consoles during the week of Nov. 11.
This is a huge spike from the previous sales numbers of 30,000-40,000 consoles a week before the price cut. "It's the breakthrough we've been anticipating," Sony CEO Howard Stringer said, "We've been holding our breath."
After four models ranging from 20- 80GB's and a few price reductions later, it's about time things start working out for Sony.
Better late than never.
