Retailers milking the Wii Zapper

ZapperSeveral chain stores, including the retail giants GameStop, EB games and Circuit City have begun to milk the Wii Zapper gun for its popularity.

The high demand of it has caused it to consistantly sell out (a lot like the Wii itself...) since its Nov. 19th release.

Like the vultures they are, these retailers began to sell the Zapper at $24.99, $5 more than the $19.99 MSRP.

Bastards. This isn't gas, it's a freaking Zapper. Give us a break here and stop thinking about the massive profit margins you're going to get off of this move.

If it wasn't always sold out online, I'd say look for it at the $19.99 MSRP price on Walmart.com and Amazon.com. Otherwise take the hit, and shake your fist at the guy selling it to you from across the counter. It's only 5 bucks after all.

I won't "take the hit". I'll start a scene right there. And trust me, no business owner wants to sit through that kind of hell, having an angry customer start a scene right there in the store. It's bad for business if I'm starting a commotion over a price gouge. I'll keep my five bucks AND look like a hero of the consumer, thank you very much. Plus, it's fun doing that kind of thing.

Funny how they try and charge more for a freakin' piece of plastic and yet another disc full of minigames.
