There are a bunch of new adopters of the PS3 since the recent price drops of Sony's game machine. But maybe you're still holding back, standing on the sidelines hoping for another price reduction before you will buy one.
This may not happen in the near future, but what you can do is lower the price of any PS3 you want by $100.
What's the catch? All you have to do is to sign up for an official Sony credit card. Once you fill in the blanks, you'll be offered a $100 credit towards the purchase of the PlayStation 3 of your choice. Sweet.
Here's the link for the offer. Imagine, getting a PS3 for a paltry $299. Now why didn't these guys think of this sooner?

That has to be the maddest, most desperate thing I have ever seen.
Do people not realize that credit means that you have to pay back more later? It does however, as Wasabi said, seem rather desperate.
You don't have to pay back more if you pay it off. If you pay it off in the first month you will pay zero interest.
God thats a good price. I really wish I actually wanted a PS3. I'm not flaming, I just literally have no desire for one.
I'm in the process of waiting for my 3rd 360 to be returned, and I still love the thing. It's like M$ put crack in it.
Ok, i wish i was 18, i have been looking to start building my credit, and this is friggin perfect, i'll have the money soon enough, but of course i am not old enough. And like SoDev said, the way Credit works is that you can pay it off immediately with the internet, or wait for the statement, and i bet the Sony card works on a 25 day grace period, which is pretty good. I want a sony card.
"Just sign away your freedom, and you can get a PS3 for FREE!!! Of course, you wont have any time to play with all that slave labor you'll be doing, but think about it. Thats like saving $400!!! YAY!!!"
So, is it coincidence that I see this news item right next to an ad for the same promotion? We wouldn't be making news pieces out of advertisments, now would we, GN? I wonder if the link in the article credits GN the same way clicking the ad next to it would... Hmm...
