Microsoft is feeling a bit jolly this season; the gaming giant is planning to spend over £4 million ($8.2 million) to market its Xbox 360 throughout the UK in order to match Sony's ongoing PS3 marketing campaign.
Stephen McGill, Microsoft UK's head of gaming and entertainment, mentioned various expectations Microsoft is aiming to hit with the UK audience.
"We're spending over £4 million in the UK this festive season talking about how, with over 300 games on Xbox 360 this Christmas, there really is something for everyone.
Whilst we pride ourselves on offering the very best titles for a devoted gaming audience, we also have a number of titles that literally anyone can pick up and play. This campaign is all about our broadening message in the run-up to Christmas."
All I can say is, holy heck!

You know M$, it's pritty crappy that this 8.2 mil is chump change to you, and that you will be spending a hell-ov-a lot more world wide this holiday season, but you won't fix all these broken boxes!
If you fix it they will come! Then again, if the return me one with an HDMI port I will be glad it broke again! Thanks Microsoft... *cough*
Thats a lot of marketing. But then again, as SoDev so eloquently stated thats chump change for them.
The thing is though, WII marketed at 40 million, then stopped because it was selling TOO well. LOL!!! although, i love the box, i rly do.
