Nintendo proudly announced they've sold over 6 million Nintendo DS portable game systems in the United States.
George Harrison, senior vice president of marketing for Nintendo of America, said, "There's no letup in sight. Nintendo DS appeals strongly to both core and casual gamers, and its momentum is set to propel us into 2008."
In addition, Nintendo mentioned the DS snatched the all-time U.S. Thanksgiving week sales record with 650,000 units sold. The record was previously held by the Game Boy Advance back in 2005 with 600,000 systems sold.
Lastly, the Big N revealed that in combined sales, New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart DS, Pokémon Diamond and Super Mario 64 DS sold over 2 million copies in the U.S.

Thats too much DS. I dont like Hand-helds....
But George Harrison is dead! Tell him to do a new solo album.
THE DS ROCKS!!! lol. I still got the original, and unless it explodes, i am going to keep using it. Although my super mario 64 is corupt.....
Took them that long? O_O; I thought they'd blown that away YEARS ago...
I remember when I thought the DS was the dumbest idea since virtualboy. I think Nintendo are secretly paying people to buy them all up just to rub my nose in it. Bastards!
