Not enough gameplay footage.
Well it was a teaser trailer... so expect a trailer sometime before the sun explodes.
Beta build will go live in 2010.
Neat little teaser, but we've been here before. I CANNOT get excited about this game until it's actually, finally, approaching an actual release date. Buying into the excitement and hype now still carries the potential for great disappointment at the next delay/ engine change announcement.

I decided to use a line from the movie 'Contact', starring Jodie Foster, to express my feelings about this trailer:
"No - no words. No words to describe it. Poetry! They should've sent a poet. So beautiful. So beautiful... I had no idea."
The trailer was disappointing IMO. Need some actual gameplay footage IMO.
I hate the "quick flashes of gameplay" style trailer but from what we can see it looks interesting. Of course 3dr will just scrap it and start from scratch again next year. *sigh*
Now I have the duke theme stuck in my head to dammit!
Nothing more comforting than seeing Duke and hearing that kick-awesome theme song. *waits for the sun to explode into ice cream, which is approximately the same time DNF releases*

You do all realise that this is a teaser trailer right? 3DRealms have already confirmed a trailer with in-game footage is being worked on right now.
Very nice, i can't wait to see the next teaser in another 5 years.
Hey, if they are rly working hard on it, trying to get the darn thing out, then who knows, it might actually be a possibilty in the next 2-3 years tops.
But who am i kidding?
