According to a German press release via JoWooD (which published Sam & Max: Season 1 in Europe), it appears Sam & Max will be coming to a Wii near you. While I admit my German isn't exactly fluent (or existent), it's hard to miss the meaning of the release. You know, the little things -- like Sam & Max and Nintendo Wii in the same sentence. (A quick run through Babelfish and a quick confirmation from a German speaking friend also help.)
No word yet on whether or not the Wii title will be a new game or a port, but I'd venture a guess that we'll be seeing Season 1 on the Wii. With Zack & Wiki and now Sam & Max, the Wii is becoming the go-to console for good ol' fashioned adventure games. If anyone happens to read German or wants to attempt their own translation, the relevant portion of the release is below.
"JoWooD plant weitere seiner erfolgreichen Lizenzen aus dem Adventure Games für Nintendo® WiiTM zu adaptieren. Eines der nächsten Projekte: Sam & Max. Als Adventure des Jahres, gewählt von den Lesern des deutschen Computerspielmagazins PC Games (zu finden in der aktuellen Printausgabe 2/2008), gehen Sam & Max bald auch bei Nintendo® WiiTM auf Verbrecherjagd."

Ditto. Now i can buy it on both! ;D
This is where a bigger hard drive would suffice well. So the Wii owners could get all the new episodes via digital distribution before the season is over.
