On today's update on the Smash Bros Dojo, Sakurai posted, "Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we've had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th. I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience."
So there you have it; Brawl has been delayed until March 9. A few writers are still awake right now, but I got chosen to be the bearer of bad news. Why? I'm not sure. Maybe other people thought if they didn't write the story, it wasn't true. Or maybe they didn't want to be shot for being the messenger.
Am I the only person who doesn't really care about this game? And does it make me a bad person if I find my SSBB-obsessed friends' reaction to this news hilarious?

Oh son of a BITCH!
Oh well, another month isn't going to be that bad a thing, not like i have the funds to be buying VGs anyway XD
I agree with you Brendon. SSBB would have had to show me some serious gameplay innovations and upgrades from the last version to get me excited. I like Smash Bros, but this is essentially the same game that came out a decade ago on the N64.
Each game introduces incremental gameplay upgrades, new characters, locations, and better graphics. If any other company was making it, people would turn their noses up at it and see it as the cash cow it is, but since it's Nintendo, people get hypnotized into thinking they HAVE to love it.
SSBB is one step above Dynasty Warriors. It's still the same game. Go dust off that copy of the original and you'll have just as much fun.
you make my wii weep
Even though I'm not American and they haven't even bothered to give Europeans a concrete release date, I'm severly pissed that they would shoot themselves in the foot like that. Didn't the game go gold already?
Viewtiful - Oh I agree. Nintendo has, for the past 10+ years, been redoing the same four games with very small incremental upgrades, and no one ever calls them to task because heaven forbid anyone say anything bad about the sacred Mario factory.
Personally, Nintendo can call me when they actually do something new that isn't a brainless minigame.
Not again. I'm seriously depressed now.
In reply to View and Yuko, if there is market for it, why not make it? Besides, the "incremental" upgrades may seem neglilent to you, but not for us smashers. There are lots of new characters, tons of balances changes, new items, including the final smash which is a HUGE addition, new courses (including a build-your-own field feature) and many other additions. Halo did the same thing Smash is doing, improving on a very successful build. Although I'm not a very big Halo fan, obviously there was market for it, so I say more power to them. You don't have to buy the game if you don't want it, and maybe the news makes yall laugh, but it doesn't for us smash fans.

People who accept Smash Bros. in that way can't make fun of Madden, IMO.
Look on the bright side, they won't be releasing as buggy rushed game.
me as aaron jackson thinks it sucks that they did it but we smash bros must hold on forever until we get it and also think bout how great it will be when u recive it!
