It was first rumored to be in development, then actually said to be on the way, then totally squashed, and now...really coming? British videogame magazine Xbox World 360 has announced that its next issue (on sale Wednesday, February 27th) will feature none other than Goldeneye 007 for XBLA.
The magazine promises "never-seen shots and hands-on details," and to answer questions such as "How different is it? What improvements have been made? What does it feel like on the 360 pad? And how can we make sure this incredible remake does see the light of day?"
The fact that there is supposedly enough info on the game to run this sort of feature is promising, but that last statement casts some doubt on the certainty of the game's release. I guess we will just have to wait until Wednesday to get the full story.

If it fixes everything I hate about Goldeneye, then maybe I might get it.
The aiming system in the original is balls, and so are the invisible walls that say "you can't jump down here, take the stairs."
If they fix that, it'll be win.
-If it's even for real.
...i liked the aiming system more than the standard FPS aiming system today
ok, wtf is up with the background, they really mustve done an update, because jesus, that looks WAY too good for n64.
everything looks too god for the 64 on that. this photo must be leaked
seems like they made graphical imporvements when they developed it for XBLA. Awesome!
Will it have online co-op?
I hope it is not an april fools joke for the april edition.
I might buy 360 just for this if it does come out.
omg, it better be online, lol.

In February?! If that's the case than the magazine just sucks (which is generally how I feel about print mags, anyway)
If it does come out, it will be the pinnacle of XBLA.
My GoldenEye fanboyism reaches 11, so if this makes the light of day, I'll explode.

It is on newstands at the end of February. Gamepro (dirty rag it is) put out the april (and all others early for that matter)edition at the beginning of march. Makes there crappy mag seem ahead of the news
