Remember that fishy story GamerNode ran last week about Goldeneye once again being a "go" for Xbox Live Arcade? Well it appears to be a total farce - maybe a joke or maybe just a sleazy ploy to sell more magazines.
Eurogamer contacted Microsoft Games Studios about the matter, and an MS spokesprson told them that the story is in no way true:
"The story in Xbox World 360 is based entirely on rumour and speculation. Unfortunately, we were never contacted by the publication to confirm information or participate in the story in any way, as we would have confirmed that we do not have the necessary rights to release GoldenEye on Xbox Live Arcade."
Xbox World 360 has responded, saying that their feature contains "No rumour. No speculation. Oh, and contrary to reports, comment from Microsoft too." The post finishes with an obvious attempt to capture your hard-earned dollars, pounds, etc: "Xbox World 360. In shops. Wednesday."
Yeah, we'll see.

WHYYY? Why must they continually play games with my heart?!?
*weep*
Well, someone needs to stop with the lying... If this doesn't come out for XBL I'm going to break something... Something expensive. I don't know what yet.
I reckon Golden Eye will appear on Virtual Console.
I called that one. LOL. I heard they were having trouble getting Street Fighter 2 hd to fit on live due to size constraints imposed by microsoft. With the pics they showed, this would have to be a much larger file. That was clue #1.
