Valve's vice president of marketing, Doug Lombardi, spoke with videogaming247 at GDC and revealed potential console plans for Turtle Rock Studios' upcoming online co-op FPS Left 4 Dead. Currently penciled for a release in fall 2008, Left 4 Dead has been confirmed for PC and Xbox 360, but Lombardi spoke about possible Wii and PS3 plans.
First, Lombardi mentioned that, if given the option, Valve would have developed Left 4 Dead for the Wii. He said, "If Valve were to develop in-house for another format, it would be the Wii. It's growing, there's already a huge user-base, and it's fun. Source is really scaleable[sic]. We can do that."
The same can't be said for the PS3; Lombardi said that Left 4 Dead will not head to Sony's console. Reasons given included limited interest and lack of experience and Lombardi admitted, "We were really crappy at bringing games to consoles," at first.
He finished saying, "EA wanted to do Orange Box on PS3 and they handled it. Left 4 Dead isn't coming out on PS3 because we've not had that call. If the phone rang we would have the conversation, certainly, but it hasn't happened."

i want a wii ver.!!!
I'm still sticking to the PC, but Valve on Wii is interesting, I'd like to see where this goes in the future
Half-Life 2: Yoshi's Island
That would sweet if you could swing the wiimote and it would swing the crowbar.
That's the cost of money, damn causal gamers with their lack of concern to get into a really deep game, ect. Hopefully next SSB, we get Gordon Freeman.
Save that there would be very few Wii owners interested in the game.
zombies>anything(except maybe code red... or invader zim) a zombie invader zim drinking code red>anything
anyways!
i would go gaga over this (i already am) if it came out on the wii but pc is just as good if not better(better)
WIN
exactly proving my point that valve is dedicated to making the gaming experience better. not just making their wallets fatter
Seriously, who doesn't love zombie games?
