Capcom reveals 15 games are under-development

Category: Industry, Posted: 03/04/2008 at 08:41PM CST by Billy Wang, Previews Editor

capcomlogoDuring an ongoing job search, Japanese publisher Capcom revealed they have 15 different game projects under-development as we speak. Sure, it's no surprise for a big gaming publisher to have multiple projects under-development but my duty as a gamer is to speculate and speculate I shall.

Capcom only listed a few of the under-development games, including Dark Void, Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, Commando 3, Rocketmen, Talisman, MotoGP and Okami Wii so as time goes on, more games will be revealed. It appears the publisher is also focusing on resurrecting a few of its older franchises, as noted by a few of the dustier titles listed.

Regarding its older franchises, Capcom mentioned the following, "Capcom is responsible for some of the most revered characters and properties in video game history and now its our turn to add to the slate by invigorating old IPs and creating wholly new ones (Don't worry, we're leaving Final Fight and Maximo in hibernation... those were the olden days...)."

I hope this speculative gaming news sheds some light on the Okami Wii port delay.

Street Fighter 4 as well. But if Capcom doesn't want to list them, then I dunno, they're crazy or something.

I hope Rockman Dash 3 is one of those games.
(Megaman Legends 3 outside of Japan)

Yeah, I want to see how they improve on Resident Evil. In my opinion, not only was it the best survival horror game of all time, but one of the best action games too. And SF 4 just looks plain sick. Capcom is coming back in a big way!
