Every time I read about the latest nerdy marriage proposal, I can't help but feel at least a little warm and fuzzy inside. Somehow using videogame culture as part of one's expression of love just seems to hit home.
p3ng, also known as "Bernie," decided in January that it was time to propose to his girlfriend, who just happens to be an avid Bejeweled player. Rather than doing things the old-fashioned way, he crafted a homebrew version of the game for the NIntendo DS and gave it to her to play. After reaching a certain score, the screen went blank and a picture of a ring dropped into view, cuing him to pop the question.
Now who could say no to that? Hint: not her.

In 30 or so years, this will be normal, I bet.
I don't see why it's sad CI.
Aww, that's so cute.
That's a good idea... Too bad I can't program for squat.
