Last week Jack Thompson sent a letter to EA (and every videogame publication he could cc) voicing his support for their attempts at a buyout of Take Two Interactive. He even offered to help in any way that he can.
Now EA has responded to Mr. Thompson, and the results are predictable, but in absolutely no way less entertaining.
Mr. Thompson,
We have received your letter to EA's shareholder site. In response to your offer to assist in the proposed acquisition of Take-Two, we would strongly prefer that you not get involved in this matter. EA is a strong supporter of creative freedom for game developers. We feel that your past statements - including false claims about content in our games - make any collaboration with you impossible.
Sincerely,
Mariam Sughayer
Sr. Manager Corporate Communications
Electronic Arts, Inc.
It just doesn't get any more straightforward than that. This isn't the first time that someone has dissolved their relationship with Thompson. A few months back, the head of a research firm that did a lot of gaming based research sent a letter to him demanding that he stop using their name to try and support his antics. It was, of course, written in that business style so that it seems like it's just business, but the message is the same as it is here. "Jack, you're a fraud and we want nothing to do with you. Please f*** off...now"

Odds of time taken until Jack's delusional claim of victory and that EA has now dug their own grave surfaces on the internet--
1-2 hours at 100/1
2-3 days at 2/1
Place your bets now.
I love how much of an idiot JT is, hes the Britney spears of the gaming world.
I bet all the money in my wallet on 1-2 hours! As well as all the money not in my wallet.
Well damn now I wish I'd switched the odds.

I finished by saying I thought that it would be a quick reply, but that 1-2 hours was still a longshot. =D
