In the final months leading up to the release of Assassin's Creed, there was as much publicity surrounding the game's producer, Jade Raymond, as there was for the game itself. The AC sequel was announced shortly after its success; it was no surprise for anyone who finished the game.
Will Raymond serve as the producer for AC2, though? Recently Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, said that Raymond was working on a new project (which he didn't elaborate on). He said: "I view Jade as a very skilled and creative producer, the success of Assassin's Creed leaves no doubt about that and the attention she received from the media is due to the anticipation, buzz and quality of the game. She's currently working on a new project but it's a little too early to share more about it."
So we do know is that Jade Raymond is still producing games, despite rumors which claimed otherwise. Whether or not her new project will be the next Assassins Creed game is still up for speculation. Could the massive publicity she received during the production of Assassin's Creed contribute to her playing a more subdued role this time around?
Either way, when her next project is officially revealed it should be safe to bet that she'll once again become the dream girl of gaming fanboys everywhere.

I think she did a fine job on Assassin's Creed and the flak she received from certain websites was totally unjustified.
Well, the fact she's a hottie is swaying me to say I hope so:p Otherwise, I don't really know anything about her, so who am I to say yay, or nay?
she's done alot of promo work in the gaming world, mostly failures (The Sims Online) and Assassin's Creed was her first success under her name, I'd be more comfortable with her being the face of the franchise that is Assassin's Creed rather than recruit another guy to do it.
i think her staying on with assassin's creed has more to do with how she will change the game the next go round...
i haven't played assassin's creed yet (i will once my cousin gets back from college with it so i can borrow it), but from what i have heard the gameplay can get old pretty quick...
if jade doesn't have any new ideas for the game then i think she's gotta go, if she does have some ideas then by all means let her stay...
p.s. who's doing the editing on this article...? This is by far some of the worst english grammar i have seen on this site... (forums not included...)
I didn't feel Assassin's Creed's gameplay got old quick, unless you think Mario's Jumping gets old quick or Halo's full slaughter of bad guys gets old quick. It has a gameplay, that involves sneaking up behind people and stabbing them, jumping atop buildings, and leaping into hay stacks to hide from guards. yeah, it is the same for the entire game, but it was a hell of a great game.
The combat in AC got old before I even finished the first hit. The rest of it (the climbing, jumping, exploring, etc.) was fun till the end.
Here, here, kind galaxy! I often wonder how someone who can shoot an enemy for the 1000th time could find assassins creed's combat boring.
My only beef is the fact that you can't skip cutscenes, but ah well.
Well, if she does stay on for Assassin's Creed 2 then I hope she gets the team to diversify the gameplay a bit more, the game kind of got stale by the 3rd 4th assassination.
@ Dooganking - Why pull the editor up on his grammar when yours is so poor!?
"p.s. who's doing the editing on this article...? This is by far some of the worst english grammar i have seen on this site..."
Even editors have an occasional bad day... :(
the article was edited and changed (fairly significantly) since i posted my comment... since i can't change my comments i cannot take back my statement...
if you had to wonder though, the comment is also directed at the original writer. I didn't think a single writer could post a story without having the article read over by an editor. To me allowing a writer to post articles that have not been looked over would allow for the possibility of articles that are not reflective of gamernode as a company... it could cause problems down the road... i realize the value of trust within a company is valuable but what happens when that trust is broken just once (even if the author of the article doesn't know he's breaking the trust)? how many people will be offended and turned away from gamernode completely from a single "bad" article?
as far as my own grammar gr1mm, my grammar is not in question here, i am not gamernode and my idea got through (which in this case is all that matters, me and mine don't need to look good, but gamernode should want to look good and professional). my writing in comments and forums is reflective of me as a person, but articles from a COMPANY are a different matter (don't get me wrong you can still put personal flair and flavor in articles)... nevertheless, the original article was nigh unreadable. The current one is much better...
