Halo 3 isn't the only FPS game releasing three maps for free this week. If you're one of those gamers who owns Unreal Tournament III on PC or PS3 you're in luck, because Midway has released three new maps of their own to download, free of charge. PC owners can grab the new content at the Unreal Tournament III site, while those who have the game on the PS3 can grab the new maps directly from the PlayStation Network. Unreal Tournament III originally shipped with 40 Epic maps, and gamers have been downloading hundreds of user-created ones since its launch last fall.
To compete with some of the awesome user-generated offerings, Epic is banking on hitting the UT players' nostalgia bone; two of the maps, Morbias and Facing Worlds will be familiar to any UT regular. "Morbias is the deathmatch arena that started it all, perfectly suited for anything from small intense duels to chaotic free-for-all matches. The Unreal Tournament classic, Facing Worlds was one of the most played maps in gaming history. This beloved sniper map makes its return alongside an intricate new capture the flag map, Searchlight, designed for both z-axis rooftop runs and strategic indoor gameplay. Returning classics and fresh new designs let you experience Unreal gaming like never before," said Midway's Natalie Salzman. You can look forward to more UT3 maps courtesy of Midway and Epic in the future, as they're "...only at the tip of the iceberg for downloadable content."

It's great having Facing Worlds back again, a great, balanced CTF map.
I guess I can't use an emoticon heart followed by the level name due to the unclosed bracket.
I might have to get ut3 now.
It's fun, plays almost exactly like UT2K3/4, it's my Casino game. I get in, play for half an hour, leave satisfied, a little dirty, but know I'll be back again when I want to look at pretty light effects and ragdolls.
Facing Worlds is awesome, as is the game that surrounds it.
I still want Innoxx to create an exact replica of CTF-Face for UT3 =P
