Pandemic Studios' Mercenaries 2: World in Flames looks like a super fun title with tons of explosions and killing. But it has gone through the curse of being delayed for awhile, until today.
According to the new trailer, the game as an official release of August 31, 2008, which when you think about it is quite a long ways away.
Oh well, if you had doubts about the game before, check out this new trailer that features an angry tatooed badass, explosions, slo-mo, explosions, fights on top of a tank and explosions.
If they fixed the in-game lag and slowdown that seemed prevelant in the previous trailers, this could be one hell of a game.

I enjoyed the first one, although it seemed like a GTA clone, but fun none the less.
This is a game that is a great example of how to do a great sandbox game. What would you want in a military style version of a sandbox game? They throw in a completely destructible environment. I've spent a lot of time in games that try to make their weapons seem bad a*s, only to be ripped away from the experience when my rocket launcher that can take down a tank, doesn't even scratch the shed I fire it at. I also liked the way there were armored and unarmored vehicles that recognized the difference between gunfire and explosive damage. It was a step in the right direction. This will be a welcome addition. glad they did not rush it.
