Help our troops with gaming entertainment

Category: Handhelds, Posted: 04/10/2008 at 04:38PM CDT by John Meyer, Staff Writer

Our troops are bored. They want fun brought to them by handheld gaming devices.

Games for Heroes is encouraging people to donate money (or just whole game handhelds) to buy our troops some gaming on the go.

According to them, gaming handhelds like the PSP or DS is the second-most requested item right next to letters. Games for Heroes has already been acknowledged by The New York Times, CNN, Fox, and NPR, so no need to worry about the credibility of these guys.

If you'd like to support the cause, you can visit Games for Heroes' website right here. I suppose it's rather interesting that our soldiers desire electronic entertainment, of all things, but who are we, a gaming site, to blame them?

Nothing against our allied soldiers but I'd rather donate my handhelds and money to children's hospitals or similar than ensure troops get their Ace Attorney game on. Unless you're donating Trauma Center to a children's hospital, that'd be kind of mean...

=/

Why are the soldiers retarded?

cause they would allow one soldier to throw a dog off a cliff. i hope the person who did that gets decapitated next

Because one soldier is representative of all the soldiers... My cousin is a US soldier. Don't be an ass.

Soldiers are just normal people with a gun, so basically you're calling the human race including yourself retarded...

even though i am an adamant critic of the current war and armies in general, i do appreciate what they do for us and i say go for it! it may not be as good as bringing them home, but it shows them that we care
