It certainly will be an interesting day next Tuesday, April 29, for some gamers as they think of ways to either get out of school or work to pick up a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV.
Of course if you had the foresight to pre-order your copy you probably have nothing to worry about, but for all others it may be a day of scheming to get out of obligations.
One such gamer, going by the screen name of Paroxym, thought up an ingenious way to get out of work--he told the truth...sort of. He decided to fill out his vacation slip and tell his employer that he was, "...spending a couple days in Liberty City with my cousin Niko Belic."
We now pause for the laughter to subside.
We don't know whether or not the gamer believed a ruse like this would work but the good news came back that his boss granted him his time off. You can look at this story from two angles. First, his boss is a real cool guy and decided to let the guy go so he could pick up and play Grand Theft Auto IV. Or second, his boss didn't have a clue as to what the visit to "Liberty City" was all about.
We'll be generous and assume that his boss knew what he was up to because we like happy endings. But if his boss didn't know what was going on, we wonder what the gamer will say when his boss asks him, "So how is your cousin Niko doing...?"

Well played.
A couple days too. lol
He's not really lying...
Stupid managers lol
I have 2 assignments due on the 29th...Argh...
Pff. I have to go to school that day. Dang.
I told my work that "Some friends will be coming from out of town." It is true. My buddies live in the cities next to me, Boynton, and Wellington. Well, some of them. We all have the 29th and 30th off.
Why is the a case of stupid manager?
If I asked my boss for next Tuesday off, she'd give it me.
Yeah, it depends on where you work. I work in a kitchen, and my boss just gave me four days off this week because I'm "Hosting a party, Prom (i'm not going, taking my lady out on a nice date), Gigantour!!!!, and the day after gigantour for i will be dead." Want to know what i got? the whole week off! it sucks though, i need money :(
