EarthBound is coming to the Virtual Console!

Today I woke up to the best news I've heard in a very, very long time. EarthBound, my favorite game of all time, is finally coming to the Wii Virtual Console. Today EarthBound was rated by the ESRB with an E rating.
What tells us that it's coming to the VC is that it's listed under Wii. Since the creator of the series told us that there won't be any more original games in the franchise, this can only mean that the SNES RPG will be hitting the VC.
We don't know when it's coming but now we definitely know it is coming and that's better than nothing. The good news is that newly rated VC games usually hit the service quickly after it's rated so we may see this gem sooner than we think.

This is great news. So many Earthbound fans have been under the idea that Nintendo was against the franchise for good. This has definitely changed our minds.

I'm kinda surprised at the "E" rating. From what I saw of the game, I remember parts of it being quite subversive despite the kiddy look.
Everyone who misjudges earthbound sucks.
Some of you roll your eyes at this, but Earthbound is just an incredible game. I'm totally psyched for this. Too bad we won't be seeing Mother 3 anytime soon...
