I need to share this because it's happening to me again. I will wake up with distinct memories from a videogame as if I had been playing it all night, but I know they were only dreams.
What games have you dreamt about?
The first time it ever happened was with Command and Conquer: Generals. I absolutely loved that game and used to play it a lot with my roommates. I had dreams about building my army and gathering resources. I don't remember any fighting, just preparing for battle.
The whole dream was top down, just like the game. It freaked me out when I woke up because I did so much preparation but there was no battle. I, of course, turned on my computer and started playing immediately.
I didn't have an intense videogame dream until about four years later when I picked up Mario Kart DS. I used to play it before bed; bad idea. I don't know if you recall the cheapassness of the blue shells, but on an annoying scale of 1 - 10 it was somewhere around a 13. Blue shells used to invade my dreams. I wouldn't necessarily dream about racing or Mario Kart, just getting bombarded with blue shells as I tried to complete daily tasks.
Now I'm dreaming about The World Ends With You. I realize I'm not even that far into the game but it is eating away at my soul. Last night, in dream world I collected pins and used them to battle invisible monsters. Invisible. Monsters.
I clearly have a problem.

I had a kind of corssover dream where it was Goldeneye levels with Perfect dark gameplay. I was running along the top of the dam with a Super Dragon in my hands and was firing the unlimited grenades everywhere. I eventually got a littlee too entusiastic and jumped off the dam with no bungee chord and was firing grenades down in a vain attempt at boosting myself back to the platform. Of course I woke up with quite a shock when I got to the roof of the Facility
Brawl, Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy, Banjo-Tooie, Tetris. Lots of games.
A Splinter Cell kind of dream, where I broke into my best friends house and killed his lights. I motioned to move near the window, where I spotted the guys from corporate office (they are evil in real life, hehe) and my ex-girlfriend plus her low life friends. I took out the first by the car with a well placed head shot. (I was using my real glock, but it had a silencer) And the alarm clock woke me up. Stupid alarm clock.
halo (1 mostly) multiplayer... which is strange cuz i don't usually remember my dreams. I have also walked away from gaming session of halo 1 still being able to see the pistol reticle in my vision a few hours after we stopped playing...
"I don't know if you recall the cheapassness of the blue shells, but on an annoying scale of 1 - 10 it was somewhere around a 13." right on spot! its so true, specially when they take you when your not even number 1.
as for video game dreams... none i can remember
Way back in the days of Pokémon Red and Blue, before I even owned a GameBoy, I had a weird-ass dream about the game. It was so far off from what the game was actually like, but it was so cool that I obsessed over the game until I got a GameBoy and bought the game myself. It wasn't as cool as the dream, but it was still fun to the extreme.
Don't deny it; Pokémon was awesome!
pokemon was.
And ninja, you try too hard with your anarchistic views, give it a rest.
I've been racing in WipEout, panicking as Zerg are chasing me, and fighting COD4-style XD
