Sony is trying to lure the PS3 faithful into downloading game titles from the PlayStation Store. How? For a limited time only, PSN will be offering several downloadable games at half off.
Until July 31, the following games will be available for the price of only $4.99 per game (normally $9.99 each).
Pain: A game where you "get points by stringing together painful collisions and inducing chaos in the environment. It's the funniest game in town!"
High Velocity Bowling: In this bowling game, the SixAxis controller actually serves a purpose! You'll use the controller "...to simulate a genuine bowling swing with real lane environments, providing a truly next-gen bowling game.
PixelJunk Monsters: "Inspired by the popular and addictive "tower defense genre, PixelJunk Monsters takes the simple real-time strategy concept of building, researching and base defending and presents it in a uniquely attractive style." We gave it an 8.5 in our review.
High Stakes Vegas Strip Poker Edition: What else can you say? It's a high stakes poker game. This game will also allow you to use your EyeToy. Yea! It has single player and multiplayer modes. Go all in!
Rocketmen: Axis of Evil: This game "provides nonstop multiplayer action with role-playing elements, including customizable characters and an engaging story, all wrapped in the game's distinctive cel-shaded art style."
I have to admit, I've only downloaded demos and haven't made the plunge to actually buy anything online from the PlayStation Store. Perhaps it was the previous lousy web page formatting not being very appealing or being too lazy to consciously navigate my way there.
But getting five games for only a mere $25 is a good deal and it looks like I'll be downloading these games to my PS3. Maybe you'll buy a few of them too.The Q Big titles of Q4

Nope. When they come out with more gems like tekken 5 HD, then yes. Mayhap bionic commando. For sure SSF2 HD.
PixelJunk Monsters, High Velocity Bowling, and High Stakes Poker are good enough to push me into buying the games. Hey, it's only 5 bux a piece...
I think I'll be getting PAIN and PixelJunk Monsters
