About a month ago Electronic Arts revealed that Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 was pulled from development. No details were given as to why and no information was released about when the project would be started up again.
However, new information from EA says that Red Alert 3 was put on hold because it is too hard to program for. Amer Ajami, producer at EALA said:
"We actually announced a PS3 version early on but that was when we were still doing a lot of technical exploration of the architecture. PS3 is a very powerful system but as you guys know it's very exotic and tough to develop for and our engine really at the time wasn't designed for PS3."
However, not all is lost as Ajami said that EALA "might go back and do something with the PS3 later on."
Ajami's comment about the PS3 being "tough to develop for" has been an ongoing buzz in the game industry since the launch of Sony's flagship game console. If the rumors are indeed true, it may be the explanation behind the complaints about not enough games being released for the PlayStation 3; it just just might be too hard to tame the wild beast for some developers.

Lazy developers suck. I would have thought that the muscle of the cell chip would have made it easier to push more polygons, meaning more on screen units. Must be the lack of video memory. I think ps3 is 256 while 360 is 512. Oh well. Looks like I'm getting this for my M$ machine.
Westwood wouldn't have abandoned.
I thought Red Alert 3 was put on hold for PC when i read this, you might want to change that.
