One of the coolest games announced with the conception of fledgling publishing house Gamecock, was Fury. Developed by Australian based team Auron, Fury is an MMO with a heavy emphasis on Player vs Player combat.
To promote the game’s October launch, developer Auron has initiated a $1 million dollar (sort of) gaming tournament. I say sort of, because it’s Australian dollars but in reality that’s not so different from American dollars. It’s around $844,000 American.
The prizes will take the form of PC hardware, pre-paid subscription cards and College scholarships to study game design.
It’s nice to see the developers giving back to the community….even if it is only to get us to buy their product and look like the good guys.
