Most Anticipated Game of 2012

The nominees are:

BioShock Infinite

Journey

The Last Guardian

Mass Effect 3

Tomb Raider

And The Winner Is…

BioShock Infinite

BioShock Infinite

A floating world’s fair. A robo-avian guardian protecting Stockholm’s Rapunzel. Dimensional tears, alternate futures, American exceptionalist radicals, violent populist immigrants, skyrails, nostrums, zeppelins, murders, Pinkerton, invention, destruction, and, of course, choices. Columbia, the spiritual predecessor to the underwater dystopia of Rapture, promises to be as compelling and provocative as any game world. The characters promise to bring it vibrancy and terror. We promise we can’t wait.

WWE 12 beat out WWE All Stars? Absolute hogwash.

Yeah, we loved All-Stars, and some consider it more fitting for the “fighting” genre, but WWE 12 did a great job at pushing the sim side of pro wrestling, and felt deserving of the nomination.

It was a question whether or not to include a wrestling game here at all, actually.
