In Germany, Gamescom is just around the corner and several major games are just waiting to be shown off in order to try and woo the crowds. Among them is Street Fighter X Tekken, which has released a new trailer for the show that reveals new characters, mechanics, and features.
The characters seen in the video below include Hugo, Poison, and Ibuki on the Street Fighter side with Yoshimitsu, Raven, and Kuma representing Tekken. Along with the characters, the trailer teaches players the fighting mechanics of the game. Tag mode and its mechanics are also revealed.
Namco is currently developing a game based on the Street Fighter and Tekken crossover as well, but there has been very little news of it. Namco’s take is using Tekken’s art style, while Capcom’s is using Street Fighter IV’s. They are not collaborating on either of the projects.
Street Fighter X Tekken is set for release sometime in 2012. There is no release date for Namco’s Tekken X Street Fighter.
