Capcom today released the first trailer for Resident Evil 6, officially announcing the title’s existence and marking a release date of November 20 for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, with a PC version to follow.
Judging from the clips in the trailer, it’s difficult to say for sure whether Resident Evil 6 will shift the series back toward its survival-horror roots or follow the trend of recent entries in the series and push even further for a more action-oriented feel. What IS clear is that players will assume the roles of multiple characters in RE6, including both Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield. And for Resident Evil aficionados, this trailer also suggests that those heroes will be up against what appear to be the results of both the T and G viruses in a Racoon-City-like outbreak.
