A game you are proud to have beaten
I’m not big on the concept of "beating" games. I rather consider my games’ end states to be more completion than victory; I experience a game’s content from beginning to end instead of fighting against it the entire time.
One game where this is not the case, however, is Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! (Sports games, in general, are more "beatable" to me, by definition representing real competition.) I can say with a smile that I have beaten Punch-Out!! plenty of times, and I am damn proud that to this day, I can lay Mr. Tyson flat on his back within just a few short rounds.
I’ve made Iron Mike taste the canvas so many times (after a saga of regularly kissing it myself, of course) that spouting off 007-373-5963 has become second nature to me. Little Mac’s ultimate title shot is just those 10 digits away.
