Animus Project Update 2.0 brings new map, game mode to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

A new map and game type come to the title's multiplayer.

Ubisoft has released its second free batch of DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, the Animus Project Update 2.0, for both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network.

The update provides a new game mode in Chest Capture and the new Pienza map. The map is described as a "free-running playground where predators and targets can blend and disappear."

Chest Capture is made up of two teams of three that must either capture or defend multiple chests in the game map. Those who capture must find the chest via their HUD and take them without being caught, while the defenders must hunt down and kill the would-be captors before they make off with the goods.

The update will also implement a new ranking system for the game, titled Templar Grade. Each player earns a Templar Score that keeps track of their statistics over the past four weeks. Each week those scores are ranked and players and placed in one of the game’s 10 new rankings meant to show a hierarchy for the community.
