Bethesda announced this morning that legendary game designer Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4) and his development studio, Tango Gameworks, will be working with the publisher to create a new survival horror game entitled The Evil Within, scheduled for release in 2014 on current-generation gaming platforms – Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
The release also teased information to be released next Monday, April 22.
Said Mikami regarding the announcement, “We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within. My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”
Bethesda has also released a teaser trailer (below) for The Evil Within, which seems to suggest that gamers will be facing more horror than action in this game – something many fans will greatly appreciate. Fingers crossed.
