BioWare slips up with Star Wars: The Old Republic emails

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Forums for BioWare’s highly anticipated Star Wars: The Old Republic went down last night after many people flocked the site with questions about emails they had received.

Apparently, several users received two emails yesterday from BioWare. The first said BioWare hoped the user was enjoying the beta and asked to take a survey to further help the game.

The second was a reminder for users who have played the beta to pre-order the game before its release in December. The problem was they had never been given the opportunity to test the beta since its release.

A fair amount of the posts on the forum have varied from disappointment and frustration to outright anger. The forum itself has a thread concerning the problem that is over 500 pages long.

While BioWare has acknowledged that there is a problem, no further information has been released from the company about how it happened. Many on the forum wondered if there would be some type of compensation for the mistake, including a code to try the beta.
