Shortly after the release of the Halo 3 beta, Bungie has sent out word that they have discovered a rare bug that keeps text from displaying. Thankfully, it’s an issue that can be solved fairly easily on your own.
1. Reboot your 360
2. Start the beta
3. When loading starts, press Up on the D-Pad and hold the A button until the Bungie logo appears on the screen.
If the fix worked correctly, you should see a dialog box stating maintenance has been done to your system.
Once you receive the message, you can continue to enjoy your Beta! You can keep up with all the various bugs (and their respective fixes) over at the Bungie Halo 3 Beta forum.
