Call Of Duty 3 Valor Maps Fixed

Almost three weeks ago, Treyarch released the much anticipated Valor map pack addition for Call of Duty 3 to thousands of expectant fans who downloaded the expansion from the Xbox Live Marketplace to their Xbox 360s. However, the Valor Pack was anything but, as COD 3 gamers found that the new software was either MIA or dead on arrival. Since then, Treyarch has been working to solve the problem, and has announced the following on the official Call of Duty website:

"Thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve the issue surrounding the Valor map pack. We are happy to announce that we have resolved the issue, and that the map pack is now fully available for download over Xbox Live marketplace. We have also released a Title Update which, in addition to addressing the map pack issue, also remedies key issues regarding Ranked Lobbies and Ranked Matches that some users have experienced.

If you downloaded the Map Pack on January 18, please download the new Title Upgrade which resolves these issues. If for any reason you deleted the Valor Map Pack after your purchase, you are entitled to re-download it without charge.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and look forward to playing you in the new maps!

Call of Duty team"

The embarrassing situation of dead downloadable software not only caused a fair deal of commotion within the COD 3 community, but also continued to tarnish the Call of Duty franchise as one that is prone to bugs and glitches. The fast response by the coders in repairing the pack is great news to the many that downloaded the broken maps, but it will also cause doubt for some in downloading any new expansions that are available in the future.
