Codemasters' bankbook grows, sales up 38%

CodemastersCodemasters has announced that the company experienced a 38 percent increase in sales in the past financial year. That number was GBP 71.5 million for fiscal 2007. Additionally, software sell-through increased 332% for the year.

The successes of solid titles Colin McRae: DiRT, Overlord, and Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar were instrumental in this growth, as was a distribution deal with Warner Bros, penned in the US. As a result, the greatest increase was recorded in North America, where sales skyrocketted 151 percent to GBP 17.1 million.

The recenct, less well-received Clive Barker’s Jericho did not factor into the 2007 numbers, but will be one of the earliest releases to be factored into fiscal 2008.
