Company of Heroes Sequel Announced

Well, we all saw this one coming. First of all, the game is about WWII, so it is automatically entitled to 37 sequels. Secondly, it was widely considered one of the best PC games of 2006. THQ has announced Company Of Heroes: Opposing Fronts for the PC.

The game is scheduled to ship in the fall, and will see the franchise moving to DirectX 10. The CoH engine has been upgraded this time around, and will surely deliver on some DX10 goodness. It will feature enhanced physics and a dynamic weather system, as well as improved AI over the first game. Players will be able to take control of the British 2nd Army or the German Panzer Elite, and the game is fully compatible with the original CoH.

After the success of Company of Heros, CoH: Opposing Fronts promises to be an excellent RTS experience later this year.
