Some other forum members and I tried to get into the first batch of beta keys for Crysis on Monday, but they were quickly distributed. So cutting our losses and huddling in the corner till the next batch arrives, we grumbed to ourselves wondering how batch 1 went so fast?
Thankfully, Crytek released some beta information to various fan sites today. First, if you were like us, when we heard of beta keys for Crysis on Monday, you’d see a combination of excitement and utter surprise. Why? Well, neither EA nor Crytek released an announcement beforehand because batch 1 was invite-only and included friends and family from EA and Crytek.
More beta keys will be released soon, as you can tell since there are three more batches set for release this month. Also Crytek dispelled any rumors that you’ll have to pay for the Crysis beta. It’s false! Lastly, Crytek advocated to everyone to not cut the beta’s NDA and keep the information within the game. Unfortunately for us at GamerNode, we’ll be brimming with secrets but unable to report on them.
