Dark Souls will have no downloadable content

The highly-anticipated sequel to Demon’s Souls is coming out later this year, but no downloadable content is set to follow. According to a representative from Namco, Dark Souls will receive no DLC when, or after, it is released this fall.

Namco or Dark Souls developer From Software have not given a reason as to why they will not pursue DLC for the game. However, this doesn’t mean players will be short on content when playing through the story.

Dark Souls‘ world will be three times the size and have double the magic, weapons, supplies, and other accessories as its predecessor. It will reportedly take about 50-60 hours to complete, so it’s not suffering from a shortage of gameplay either.

It is set for an October 4 release on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
