Das Chocobo? Le Moogle? Final Fantasy XI Goes International

Square Enix Ltd. announced today that the German and French versions of the popular massively multiplayer online role playing game Final Fantasy XI will be showcased at Games Convention 2006 in Leipzig, Germany.

These transitions of the game come 3 years after the North American release, but many agree it,s better late than never.

The convention opens from August 23 to August 27 where fans will sample the product as developers take on the daunting task of converting the game for German and French players on the Xbox 360 and PC. Located on the show floor at the Final Fantasy XI Arena in Hall 5, guests will get to play the localised version, meet the development team, enter unique competitions in Vana,diel, the FFXI world, and win exclusive prizes. Some prizes include a Logitech digital sound system, CoolerMaster PC case and power supply, and NVIDIA video cards.
