Japanese developers have added their voices to the masses complaining about the PS3’s high price point. According to a survey conducted by Japanese magazine Ge-Maga, a stunning 90.21 percent of the developers surveyed said the PS3,s price point is too high. As if to hammer this point home, one of the developers wrote a comment that, "It’s more expensive than my rent." In addition, over 53% felt that the decision by Sony to manufacture two different PS3 models, one that is stripped down and the other fully equipped, was a mistake because, "There are fears that confusion will develop amongst users and retailers."

As far as the confidence level of developers regarding Sony,s promised list of launch titles, over 55% felt that Sony would not be able launch all titles in time. More bad news was revealed about the overall perception of Sony,s PS3 after the E3 presentations. Of those surveyed, only 3.39 percent found their worries dissipated by the PS3,s showing, while over 32 percent left the show “less confident in the platform.” The remaining percentage said that the E3 convention did not sway their previous views of the PS3 platform.
