Dragon’s Dogma breaks 1 million sales

Capcom’s stab at the open-world RPG, Dragon’s Dogma, has sold over 1 million units, according to the company’s recent  three-month financial report.

Dragon’s Dogma is “performing well, particularly in Japan,” details the financial report, which lists data from April to June. GamerNode’s Dragon’s Dogma review praised the game for its enjoyable crafting and combat, but criticized it for the underwhelming story and setting, concluding that “Dragon’s Dogma may not be the next genre-defining RPG but it is an undeniably pleasurable experience.”

The financial report also details the three-month sales of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, which sold a less laudable 450,000 units. GamerNode called Operation Racoon City “an acceptable co-op shooter,” but was otherwise underwhelmed.
